President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan performed Friday prayer at Hz. Ali Mosque in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul.
President Erdoğan answered reporters’ questions following the prayer.
As regards the relations with Greece, President Erdoğan stated: “I have already said that I would never meet with them so long as there is an honest politician in front of me. We have also said that we have ended our High Level Strategic Council meetings, and that we would not hold High Level Strategic Council meetings with Greece from now on. We are not holding this year’s meeting, either. What does it mean? I suppose there is not any louder and clearer objection than this. Greece is on its own from now on.”
MAJOR ECONOMIES FORUM ON ENERGY AND CLIMATE
Recalling that he would attend a virtual leader-level meeting later in the day on energy and climate at the invitation of President Joe Biden of the US, President Erdoğan said that each leader would have 3-minute address in which they would express their opinions and plans on climate and environment.
SAUDI ARABIA CROWN PRINCE MOHAMMED BIN SALMAN’S VISIT TO TÜRKİYE
Responding to a question regarding Saudi Arabia Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman’s visit to Türkiye, President Erdoğan said he would meet with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman at the Presidential Complex on Wednesday, and that steps aimed at further enhancing the Türkiye-Saudi Arabia relations would be discussed during the talks to be held as part of this official visit.
